As part of Idrettens Fredskorps you also take part of a culture exchange.

In Zimbabwe the population speak mostly shona, ndebele and english.

In my hometown Harare shona is the most common language and I have now started my language lessons.

For two weeks I had 30 minutes shona lessons every day – followed by 30 minutes sign language.

I’m enjoying every part of it.

The words I learn in Shona I also learn in sign language.

Monday – Movhuro
Tuesday – Chipiri
Wednesday – Chitatu
Thursday – China
Friday – Chishanue
Saturday – Mogovera
Sunday – Svondo

Christmas and Norwegian “Ole Brum kake”.
